(New York, NY March 15, 2011) – Century Media, one of the world’s most renowned and successful labels in the field of heavy music, and EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution have renewed their global distribution relationship.
EMI’s partnership with Century first began in 1997, before being expanded to Australia in 2005, and around the rest of the world in 2009. Under the terms of this latest deal extension, EMI Label Services will continue to provide digital and physical distribution services to Century Media’s roster of artists and affiliated labels on an international basis. Artists signed to Century Media include Lacuna Coil, Winds Of Plague, Suicide Silence, In This Moment, and The Haunted.

Century Media was founded by Robert Kampf in Dortmund, Germany in 1988. The label’s earliest days saw them sign cutting edge bands including Iced Earth, Nevermore and Mayhem, firmly establishing them at the center of the metal community. Century Media continues to go from strength to strength today, with recent releases such as Lacuna Coil’s “Shallow Life” and In This Moment’s “A Star-Crossed Wasteland”, as well as new artists including Suicide Silence and Winds of Plague. Century Media have recently added three more labels to the Century family, in the shape of Superball, Inside Out and People Like You.
EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution is a division of EMI. Besides distributing some of the industry’s top labels including Sugar Hill, Vanguard, Arts N’ Crafts, Earache, Secret City, EMI Label Services also offers labels and artists a menu of marketing and promotional services to choose from, including radio promotion, publicity, digital marketing and product management. Recent successes for the division include their partnerships with artists including Alter Bridge, Slash and Raekwon.
