Los Angeles, CA (September 17, 2009) – EMI Music artists receive a total of 23 nominations for the 2009 Latin GRAMMY ® Awards which were announced today during a press conference held at the Conga Room, LA LIVE and attended by national and international media.
Bebe, Spanish singer-songwriter received two nominations for Song of The Year – ‘Me Fui’ and Best Short Form Music Video – ‘Me Fui.’ Shaila Durcal was nominated for Best Ranchero Album – ‘Corazon Ranchero.’ She also was among the special guest artists announcing the nominations today during the press conference. Zoe received multiple nominations including Best Alternative Music Album – ‘Reptilectric,’ Best Alternative Song – ‘Nada’ and Best Short Form Music Video – ‘Reptilectric.’ Jaguares were nominated for Best Rock Album by a Duo or Group – ’45′ and Best Rock Song / Mejor Cancion de Rock – ‘Entre Tus Jardines.’ Enrique Bunbury got two nominations for Best Rock Solo Vocal Album – ‘Hellville De Luxe’ and Best Rock Song – ‘Hay Muy Poca Gente.’ Mexican singer/songwriter Aleks Syntek received nominations for Record Of The Year and Song of the Year for his participation in Palabras Del Silencio.
