New York, 22 January 2008 – EMI Music Publishing, the world’s leading music publisher, has appointed Leo Corbett as Chief Operating Officer and Thomas Kelly as Chief Financial Officer, it was announced today by Chairman and CEO Roger Faxon.
Corbett, formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the company, has spent the last twelve months overseeing the implementation of new global strategic and technology programs, working with EMI Music Publishing offices around the world. He will now take formal responsibility for the company’s global operations, overseeing sales, licensing and marketing functions across the business.
Thomas Kelly, who was Executive Vice President of Finance for EMI Music Publishing, will now take on the position of EVP & Chief Financial Officer, managing the company’s financial operations on a global basis.
Both Corbett and Kelly will report to Faxon, and be based in EMI Music Publishing’s global headquarters in New York.

Leo Corbett has a strong track record in business transformation, having spent much of his career as a venture capitalist and Wall Street executive. Having earned his bachelors degree and MBA from Harvard University, he went on to hold senior positions with Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers and the Prudential. Before joining EMI Music Publishing in 2005, he founded and led a venture capital fund at Zephyr Management, investing in specialized technology applications including rule-based software, business process improvement and data mining.
Thomas Kelly has risen through EMI Music Publishing’s finance function since first joining the company in 1991 from Ernst & Young. He became Chief Financial Officer for the business’s North American operations in 1998, and was promoted to Executive Vice President with global responsibilities in January 2007. He is a certified public accountant and earned his bachelors degree from Rutgers University.
EMI Music Publishing’s 1.3 million copyrights include some of the best-known songs ever written, such as New York New York, You’ve Got A Friend, Lady Marmalade, Always On My Mind, Three Times A Lady, I Heard It Through The Grapevine and Singin’ In the Rain.
