Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ is top selling digital song

Congratulations to Katy Perry who’s massive hit single ‘California Gurls’ has been confirmed as the best selling digital song of 2010 in the US. The track, which features Snoop Dogg, sold 4,398,212 downloads in the US, part of a global total of 8 million singles, digital tracks, mobile tracks and videos.

Katy has just confirmed that the fourth single from her Grammy-nominated album ‘Teenage Dream’ will be ‘E.T.’ in February and it has also just been revealed that Katy will guest star on an episode of US TV series ‘How I Met Your Mother’ called ‘Oh Honey’ which will be broadcast by CBS later this season.

Next month, on February 20, Katy kicks off her ‘California Dreams 2011 World Tour’ in Porgutal which will take her through the UK and Europe, Austrlia, New Zealand and Japan and North America by the summer. Katy will return to the UK in October and November for a series of arena dates. Venues and dates can be found on Katy’s website.
