We’re delighted to welcome Jeff Bridges to the EMI family. The Oscar-winning actor and musician has signed a recording deal with EMI’s Blue Note Records which will release his major-label debut album in late summer.
Bridges won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of a grizzled former country music legend in the 2009 film ‘Crazy Heart’. For the movie he worked with Oscar- and Grammy-winning producer and long-time friend T-Bone Burnett. Inspired by their collaboration, Bridges has chosen to record the album with Burnett who is known for his previous work with artists such as Allison Kraus and Robert Plant, Elton John and Leon Russell and the Grammy-winning soundtracks to ‘O Brother, Where Are Thou?’ and ‘Walk the Line’.
