Beach Boys and Syd Barrett limited edition releases for Record Store Day

With the hugely popular Record Store Day just around the corner on 16 April, Capitol/EMI has announced two exciting limited edition vinyl releases by the The Beach Boys and Syd Barrett.

The Beach Boys ‘Good Vibrations’ and ‘Heroes and Villians’ will be available as a 78 RPM single double-disc set, with original versions of each song on one disc and alternative versions on the other.

Also available will be a 180-gram double LP entitled ‘An Introduction To Syd Barrett’ featuring his solo material as well as work with Pink Floyd.

Ozzy Osbourne take up the mantle of Record Store Day Ambassador this year a title previously held by Jesse Hughes from Eagles of Death Metal and Queen’s of the Stoneage’s Josh Homme.
