The lovely and talented VV Brown paid a visit to the headquarters of The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the producers of The Grammy(r) Awards) in Santa Monica, CA, on July 29 for an impromptu acoustic performance and an installment of “5 Questions With…” – a new Academy series designed to engage recording artists and professionals on a variety of topics.
Through five simple questions, Brown provided a glimpse into who she is as a person and artist. We learn her influences range from Ella Fitzgerald to the Sex Pistols (with Grace Jones as a logical bridge between). In the series of video clips below you can catch both the performances and the Q&A.
