Multiple Kerrang nominations for 30 Seconds To Mars, You Me At Six

30 Seconds To Mars lead this year’s Kerrang! magazine awards with four nominations. Virgin Records label mates You Me At Six follow closely behind with three nods.

The four nominations for 30 Seonds To Mars are: Best International Band, Best Album, Best Live Band and Best Video. You Me At Six are up for Best British Band, Best Album and Best Single.

30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto told Kerrang!: “Thank you so much to every single one of you for the relentless and tireless voting. We are very grateful to be nominated, this is the doing of the Echelon. It’s no secret that we have a very special relationship with a wonderful family of vagabonds travelling the world with us. This slightly dysfunctional and always inspiring motley crew are quite unlike anything I could appropriately describe, but we are so proud to share this epic adventure with them. They are our family and without them there would be no Mars.”

Meanwhile You Me At Six’s Josh Francheschi said: “A few years ago we sat in a room full of our idols and we were nominated for Best British Newcomer, and I remember looking at all these bands who were up for multiple awards thinking, ‘Wow, they’re so lucky, they have so many fans supporting them’. And this year we are one of those bands! We feel so lucky to have the fans we do, who are always supporting us throughout everything, so thank you, thank you and thank you again. That’s a ‘thank you’ for each nomination!”

The winners will be unveiled on July 29.
