On a balmy June evening, Michael Franti & Spearhead (recent global signing to EMI Music’s Capitol roster) serenaded a happy crowd on the rooftop of EMI Music in New York City.  The crowd was awash with smiles when they played their multi-platinum digital smash single, “Say Hey (I Love You)” and the band’s latest single, the feel good song, “Shake It Shake It.”

Franti’s latest album, “The Sound of Sunshine” will be released on the Capitol Records/Boo Boo Wax label later this summer.
