The Ivor Novello awards are widely accepted as the UK’s most prestigious songwriting honours and so we were very pleased to hear that Lily Allen and Bat For Lashes were among the nominees announced today for this year’s awards.

‘Daniel’ by Bat For Lashes is up for Best Contemporary Song while Lily Allen’s ‘The Fear’ is nominated twice – for Best Song Musically and Lyrically and the PRS For Music Most Performed Work award. Congratulations!

The awards take place at Grosvenor House in London on May 20.
