It’s already been a great year for Lady Antebellum with a Grammy Award, number one album and the first million seller of the year in the US, and it just got even better with a leading seven nominations in this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards. The Capitol Records Nashville trio are up for: Album of the Year, Top Vocal Group, Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year plus nominations as a producer for Single Record of the Year and as a composer for Song of the Year.
“You always hear about the power of a great song, and there’s no doubt that ‘Need You Now’ has definitely been a career-changer for us…but seven nominations?! We are blown away,” says the band’s Dave Haywood. We couldn’t put it any better!
Other EMI nominees for this year’s ACM awards include Keith Urban (Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist of the Year), Darius Rucker (Top Male Vocalist of the Year) and Little Big Town (Top Vocal Group of the Year).
The Awards take place on April 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
