Lady Antebellum are 2010′s first million seller

Great news out of the US where it has been confirmed that Lady Antebellum‘s ‘Need You Now’ has become the first album release of 2010 to sell over a million.

The album, which spent two weeks at number one, holds at number two for the second week in a row in the new chart, with sales of 144,000 in the last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures. ‘Need You Now’ is the first album to pass the million mark in the US in just four weeks since 2005.


In the Digital Song Chart, the album’s title track is at number four with 2.21 million units scanned to date.
