Katy Perry is on fire! Her smash single, “California Gurls,” featuring Snoop Dogg, surges to the #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, just a week after being released. The track is also the ‘greatest gainer’ on the Pop and Adult Pop charts.
According to Billboard, the track has sold 294,000 downloads in its first week of availability, making it the #1 digital song in the US. The single “Gurls” is from Katy’s upcoming album, “Teenage Dream,” scheduled for an August 24 release.
Look for her next month at the MTV Movie Awards.
