It’s official, Katy Perry has been confirmed as one of the guest judges in this year’s season of X Factor in the UK.
Katy is standing in for Dannii Minogue, who is due to give birth next month, and will join the panel alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.
The new smash hit from Katy, ‘California Gurls’, hit the top of the US singles chart last week and today became the UK’s number two airplay hit. It is the number two radio hit across Europe including taking top honours in Germany.
The video for ‘California Gurls’ is due out very soon. In the meantime, Katy has just posted this behind the scenes look at its making:
