Mariza has picked up fans and awards around the world with her recordings in the Portuguese music genre Fado, and we’re very pleased to announce that we have signed a new contract with Mariza to further extend our relationship with her to all countries outside North America.
EMI Music and Mariza have been working together since her 2002 multi-platinum debut. Since then she has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Barbican and the Royal Festival Hall in London, and Sydney Opera House. She is the first Portuguese artist to be nominated for a Latin Grammy Award.
