Beatles ’1′ is no.1 seller of the decade

Nielsen SoundScan have crunched the numbers and announced the top selling albums over the last decade in the US. And the winner? ’1′ by The Beatles which clocked up a stunning 11,499,000 sales over the decade.

And coming in at number three is the multi-Grammy winning ‘Come Away With Me’ by Norah Jones which has so far sold 10,546,000 in the US since it came out in 2002.

SoundScan also announced the top 10 digital songs of the decade in the US, including Coldplay‘s ‘Viva La Vida’ (4,140,000 sold) and Katy Perry‘s ‘Hot N Cold’ (3,945,000).
